Fellow Members:

Please see the below information provided by Brother Muniz regarding a fundraiser for Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff Nick Gasparre

Crime Fighters,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to you all for support in a critical situation involving on of my colleagues, Deputy Sheriff Nick Gasparre, who is battling brain cancer. Nick worked for me in Special Operations as a Warrant Control Officer, until his affliction prevented him from being able to work. We are organizing a fundraiser to assist his family during this challenging time, and we are asking for everyone’s help to make it a success.

Event Details:

When: October 25th 5pm -?
Where: Barton Orchards, Beekman, New York
Purpose: 100% of ticket sales will go to the Gasparre family.

This is a pivotal moment for us to come together as a community. The situation is dire, and the family needs our support more than ever. Here’s how you can help:

Attend the Event: Bring your family and friends! The more, the merrier. Let’s show our strength in numbers.
Spread the Word: Share the event on social media and with anyone in your network—friends, colleagues, and fellow first responders. Here’s the GoFundMe link for more details: Help Support Nick’s Battle Against Brain Cancer and the Facebook event page: Facebook Event.
Consider Direct Donations: Any contributions from businesses or individuals are welcome.

The event promises to be family-friendly and full of community spirit, but we need your involvement to make it truly impactful. Let’s show Nick and his family how much they mean to us and ensure they feel our support during this difficult time.

Thank you for your attention and your willingness to step up. Together, we can make a difference.

On Friday April 19th, 2024, 12 White Plains Youth and 10 White Plains Police Officers completed The Spring 2024 session of the White Plains “YPI” Youth Police Initiative. This initiative is collaboration between The White Plains Youth Bureau, The White Plains Police Department, and Grandpa’s United a White Plains community group. The “YPI” program is a promising prevention and early intervention program that the department has participated in with the youth bureau dating back to 2008. The approach of the program is to enhance trust between law enforcement, teenagers and their families. It is a week-long program that brings together 12 to 15 neighborhood teens at one time with police officers who patrol their neighborhoods to participate in a highly interactive and structured training. We are very proud of this program and of the Officers and young people who participated.
